Registration

Registration is OPEN for the 2026 baseball season.

All players planning to participate in Babe Ruth and Legion baseball in Valley City must complete the registration forms below by May 1, 2026. A $50 registration discount is available for players who register and pay prior to March 31. Please read the important information below.

- Payment must be received by the first day of practice. Payment can be mailed to the address below, paid via Venmo or PayPal, or given to a VCBA board member. Please note which player you are paying for. Player fees will remain the same as last year.

- The VCBA has grant money available for families that need help paying for registration. Please contact a board member for more information.

- Registration fees help cover the cost of player equipment and gear, including a shirt, hat and uniforms. The VCBA will also supply a personal batting helmet to players that need one.

Babe Ruth: $200 before March 31
Legion: $250 before March 31
Concession Stand Buyout: $200 (optional)

Concession Stand Update
We continue to need volunteers to help staff the concession stand during games. Revenue generated from the concession stand has allowed us to keep our registration fees the same for the last several years. Our game days typically consist of 2 games (doubleheaders), which require a concession worker and grill worker. Each baseball family is required to supply:

2 workers for two assigned game days (this would cover both the grill and concessions)

OR

1 worker on four different game days (your choice of grill or concessions)

There will be a $200 buyout option (payable at registration) for families that do not wish to work their shifts in the concession stand. If you have a family member (think teenager) that would be interested in working more games for pay, please let Debby Baumgartner know at vcbabusiness@gmail.com. We plan to open the concession stand for VCSU games in Spring and Fall seasons, High School and Junior High season, along with Babe Ruth and Legion season. We will plan to use a scheduling website like Signupgenius and once schedules are set we will be sending out notices to baseball families to select which game(s) they can work. 

Youth Baseball Opportunities

VC Blues – 10U and 12U Cal Ripken Baseball

The VC Blues are a parent-run group fielding both 10U and 12U Cal Ripken Teams. These are competitive summer teams that play tournaments and a travel schedule against teams from Fargo, Jamestown, Grand Forks, Wahpeton and more. Interested players must attend a tryout session and be selected for the team.

2026 tryouts are scheduled for Sunday, March 29. There is no tryout fee but you must pre-register for tryouts. Players who are selected for the team will pay a $200 registration fee.

Valley City Parks & Rec Baseball

The Valley City Parks and Recreation fields travel baseball teams for ages 10-12. These teams typically play in the Three Rivers League against teams such as LaMoure and Oakes. Teams will travel out of down during the regular season. VCPR does not take teams to the state tournament.
